In my Technique of Fine Cooking class we make this in Lesson One as an example of the a quick, simple dessert that gives a lot of bang for the buck. When asked where to purchase this delectable liquid I found there are (of course) many varieties and varying quality levels of chocolate balsamic. My students and I unanimously decided that the best one is found at one of my all time favorite stores for all things food related; Surfas Kitchen Supply in Los Angeles.
After having taught there for a number of years I have a special place in my heart for this fabulous store that carries literally everything a “foodie” or any type of chef person may want. It was originally geared towards the professional chef but then it moved to a larger location and went off the deep end as far as carrying every specialty item and then some with a whole aisle just for chocolate.
